Cinco De Mayo Celebration 2023
Cinco De Mayo is the Porsche Club Southern Arizona Region Premier Event. It is a long weekend full of Porsches and Porschefiles. It begins with a Golf Tournament on Thursday, a Welcome Party on Friday, rises to a high point with a Concours at the Tucson Country Club and Celebration Banquet on Saturday and culminates with a Tour on Sunday
Registration
Saturday Concours judging begins at 8:30 a.m, parking will open at 6:30 AM. Concours registration fee is $40, for display only, $20. No on-site registration.
Welcome Party
Friday night Welcome Reception & Party will be 6 pm to 8 pm at Porsche of Tucson. Location: 4690 E 22nd St, Tucson, AZ 85711. Please register so we can get an accurate head count for planning. This is an extremely popular event. You must be registered to attend.
Golf Tournament
As SAR returns with its annual Cinco festivities, so has the golf tournament. So, mark this date on your calendar, Thursday, May 4, 2023. This year’s Cinco golf tournament will be held at the Forty Niner Country Club in southeast Tucson with a reverse shotgun starting about 9 am. This course once hosted the PGA tour’s Tucson Open in 1963 and 1964 and is said to be a fair test of golf for players of all caliber with its winding fairways and majestic mountain views that can surprise golfers at every turn.
Concours
The 2023 Cinco De Mayo Concors will be held on Saturday, May 6th at the Tucson Country Club. Entrant fee is $40 for Judged cars, and $30 for Display cars. Lunch will be available for purchase onsite - choice of chicken salad croissant or Italian wrap ($20 includes bag of chips, tax and tip).
Banquet
The 2023 Cinco De Mayo Banquet will be held at the Tucson Country Club on Saturday. Achoite Chicken with scalloped potatoes for $60 or BBQ Brisket with scalloped potatoes for $65.
Cinco de Mayo Tour
Sunday Farewell Lunch Tour to Superior AZ. On Sunday, join us as we say farewell to our out-of-town guests send them on their way home with a tour heading North and ending with a lunch at Silver King Smokehouse & Saloon in Superior, AZ. Meeting time is 9:30 am and departure will be from the event hotel (see below) at 10 am. Lunch location: 404 Main St, Superior, AZ 85173. Please sign up so we can get an accurate head count for planning.
