Adopt a Roadway October 28
Adopt-A-Roadway Event
When: Saturday, October 28th 7:30 am
Where: Beyond Bread (Ina and Oracle)
For many years our club has been committed to the Adopt-A-Roadway program as a very effective means of demonstrating our continued support to our community. The Adopt-A-Roadway program is part of the nationwide effort of sponsorship designed to help beautify our roadways by facilitating trash removal and saving the taxpayers of Pima County approximately $250 per mile cleaned which translates into thousands of dollars saved. Signage along our portion of Orange Grove Road clearly recognizes PCA-SAR’s sponsorship.
This is a fun and not too strenuous task that will take about two hours of your time and will make you feel good about your participation in helping clean up our community. Please note that while Pima County Health Department currently has no restrictions on public gatherings, if you are at higher risk for severe illness, or if you are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, please stay home.
I expect great Tucson Fall weather. We will meet at 7:30 AM in Beyond Bread at the southeast corner of Ina Road and Oracle Road for pre-event coffee and pastry, some socializing, and signing waivers. AZDOT requires that we wear hard-soled, closed-toe shoes (no sandals) and comfortable clothing. Gloves and hats are recommended. Water, safety vests, grabbers, and bags for the cleanup will be provided. I hope to see you there!

Feel the need for speed?
Join us at the Tucson Radio Control Club flying field:
10801 E. Valencia Rd., Tucson, AZ 85747.
You can walk around and explore all the aircraft there and watch vintage aircraft to modern jets fly or you may try your hand at flying a radio-controlled aircraft with an instructor pilot. We will have a dedicated instructor pilot and trainer aircraft available.
At 11:00 am, enjoy lunch with fellow club members at Native Grill and Wings, 10255 E Old Vail Rd, Tucson, AZ 85747.
